GSP School Improvement Programme
2024/25 marks the seventh full year of the GSP School Improvement Programme (SIP). The programme was launched in 2018 to enable the GSP to better support its Headteachers in their school improvement journeys, through an objective, robust and challenging framework.
The format of the SIP is such that each cluster of 5-6 schools is allocated one of the GSP's Consultant School Improvement Advisors (SIA), who works with individual schools on their respective priorities during the academic year: monitoring progress; identifying specific areas of support that were needed; and signposting the relevant resources. When possible, Headteachers and SLT from other schools within the Cluster attend SIA visits, sharing and drawing on each other’s areas of best practice.
The SIAs working with the GSP also support the Partnership's CPD strategy and to date have delivered targeted CPD sessions for Headteachers, Curriculum Leads, SLT, Subject Leaders and SENDCos.
