The GSP is an alliance of 31 primary schools in Gloucester City committed to effective challenge and support, in order to provide the highest quality provision to raise the attainment, aspirations and life chances of the pupils in the Partnership. 

Originally founded in 2008, the Partnership is still thriving.  The initial commitment of the city's primary schools to our Partnership was a very powerful statement of intent, but we are very conscious that funding is tight for all of our schools so are always mindful of the need to demonstrate best value and to ensure that our funding is sustainable. 

Sharing knowledge, best practice and next practice within the Partnership helps our schools to maintain a consistently high quality teaching provision; as well as giving access to a calendar of inspiring and memorable opportunities for pupils, which might otherwise be logistically and/or financially unsustainable by a single school. 

The GSP also continues to focus on the well-being, personal development and progression of staff in all its member schools, by providing quality CPD throughout their teaching careers and by providing valuable peer-to-peer networks, so that subject leads – from every size of school – feel part of a bigger community.
